AJAX KINGS ARMS F.C. formed in 1996,finished 4th in the Worthing and Horsham District Sunday League Premier Division 09/10 season.
This year the team will play in a revamped Division 2.

AJAX KINGS ARMS 6 BROADWATER CELTIC

The new "fluffier" Ajax began life in Div 2 with a
very entertaining win against a Celtic side with a few familiar faces from the
Premier also included in their ranks.
Down to one side this year the Ajax team ranged
from 2 top strikers in County 2 down to Billingshurst 3rd teams' sub and Mid
Sussex Hockey teams' centre forward.
The defence were clearly still on their summer
holidays when Celtic scored with a pump over the top after 2
minutes.
Ajax levelled when Remi Thomas "playing in a much
freer role" planted a free kick on Paul Horns head.
Ajax then went ahead when Marc Livesley volleyed
home a Matt Hoyte cross.
With all 3 subs already on before half time Celtic
equalised again before Hoyte finished off a tremendous move to lead 3-2 at half
time.
Craig Marshall slotted the 4th after some unselfish
(for once) work by Craig Grantham but Broadwater pulled another back and then
helped Ajax out with a sensational volleyed own goal by their centre
half.
Nick Cooke managed his 2nd own goal of the week
when attempting to clear off the line for Celtics 4th but Livesley cooly
finished a Hoyte pass to put the game beyond doubt.
Man of the Match Thomas's effort typified the whole
teams performance and I hope this shows good signs for the winter to
come.
